Cessation of Benefits on Remarriage or Cohabitation

What if I am receiving a widow's or widower's pension and I remarry or begin to live with another person as man or wife?

A widow/widower's pension is payable for life or until remarriage or cohabitation. If a widow/widower remarries or begins to live with another person as man and wife, the pension in most cases will be restricted or cease. However, the pension may be reinstated if the new relationship comes to an end. Please ensure that you inform the Pensions Administration Office of any change in your marital status or of cohabitation.
