If you received a refund of United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority pension scheme contributions in respect of service prior to 6 April 1978 you would have been contracted out of the National Insurance State Graduated Pension Scheme during the period of United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority scheme service, and you may be due a small pension payment at retirement age from Norwich Union in respect of the period of contracted-out service. If this is applicable to you, at the time you left United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority pension scheme service you should have received a GPF 253 certificate from either Yorkshire General or the General Accident insurance company.
