SECTION 7: THE UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY
and ASSOCIATED EMPLOYERS VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION SCHEME

Part 2 – Membership

| (6) |
A person shall be qualified for membership of the Scheme if
|
| |
(i) |
he is a member of the Principal Scheme in Service in Great
Britain or Northern Ireland, or with the prior approval of the Board of
HM Revenue and Customs such other territory or territories as the Employers and
the Authority shall from time to time agree; and

| |
(ii) |
If he is an Ex-Spouse Participant and is the subject of a
Pension Sharing Order, agreement or equivalent provision, received by the
Scheme. The Authority must make provision for the Pension Credit Benefits
under the scheme to be treated as provided separately from any benefits
provided under the scheme for the same individual as an employee or as the
Dependant of an employee.

Participation in the scheme is offered to the Ex-Spouse either
where the same individual is an employee or the Dependant of an employee,
or where the Ex-Spouse only has Pension Credit Benefits under the scheme.

(iii) |
the Authority shall determine that he is eligible for membership
of the Scheme.
|
| (7) |
Applications for membership of the Scheme shall be in
such form as the Authority shall from time to time determine.
|
| (8) |
If the Authority determine that he is eligible for membership
of the Scheme, a person may become a Member with effect from the date of
receipt by the Authority of an application in the form specified in Rule
7 or as they shall direct.
